Dropping the car off was a horrible experience. They charged us $200 Euros for cleaning fee. They never told us when we pic the car up that we had to wash the car., specify now during Covid 19 times when car needs special cleansing from the rental companies. We were traveling with a child with special needs. We had know ways of find a place to to wash the car in a City we don't know pulling a wheelchair. They were very rude to us. We very sad .
There was no car. Apparently all the vehicles listed were not in actuality there. No corresponndance between Sixt and myself to alert me to this prior to arriving at the branch.

Pick up was excellent. Our flight had been delayed but all went well. The staff in Madrid was friendly and helpful. The drop off was a little rough as they seem to have been understaffed, we had to wait quite a while to drop off the car. Fortunately we weren't running for our flight, but we observed other customers who were very nervous about catching their flights. They need to separate the pick-up and drop-off counters as many other rental companies do. The staff was friendly even under pressure.

Sales used tactics to make changes to contract and increased the rate and when I said I want my original contract as is. They said they could not reverse the charges Also Claiming they didn't have the car we booked Cars were poorly maintained with previous accidents. And cleaned..I had to have them change the car It wasa horrible experience..I usually rent Hertz much higher standards and respects

They almost bring the microscopic Scientists From NASA to check all the Microspots around the vehicle... It took almost 30 min. To swipe the whole area... This is location on Madrid by Ronda de Atocha Corruption just like in Mexico
Pick up at Atocha station - Difficult to realize that the pick up is on the parking lot and not at proper Atocha Station - 3 ppl were at the counter but only one was attending customers (There is still a sign on the door that only one customer is allowed a time inside) - Information about refilling the car with petrol at time of return was first confusing. "The message was "our rate of Euro 1,20 is cheaper than at regular petrol stations". The detail that the charge would be the costs of a full tank instead of the actually used petrol was explained in detail when I asked the employee to repeat this information again - When I got to the car, I realized many scratches on the vehicle, especially on one side at the back. This was not adressed to me. I asked another employee who walked by if this is normal and that none had pointed this out? Hi responded "Didn't you sign the contract?" I should check there to see if this damages are noted down. I looked in my inbox but the electronic email had not arrived yet, therefor I went back to the counter to lign up behind another customer. When it was my turn, the employee looked for the the information and explained that there is a "code" of several numbers that protocol various damages on the car, so everything is ok but I should still take photos for documentation.... -- Return Barajas The service at the return at Barajas was professional, quick and the person received me with a big smile as well!

Got a brand new Alfa Romeo Tonale when I booked a midsize. Couldn’t be happier with the experience.
The car was great, the problem was when I went to pick up the car, I came at 420 for my 5 o’clock appointment. Rather than giving me the car, I had to come back at 5. The other person who had the car was 20 minutes late. There has to be a better system. And I got the original car that was sitting in the lot.

300 euros for 3 days of insurance coverage only for collision damage towards the car? not even personal insurance or insurance to pay for the damage of another car? I'm never renting here again that's for sure. And I will make sure nobody I know does it neither. It was for a Volvo, not BMW or Mercedes, WTF

Office is far from main terminal, a longer than expected walk. Staff were ok but the auto was not as expected from booking photos. The first auto had a problem, had to be returned, and had to wait almost an hour to get the replacement vehicle

La experiencia para recoger el coche pésima. Pusieron muchos problemas. Había seleccionado un modelo grande y no informaron que hacían falta 2 tarjetas de crédito en vez de una como ponía en la descripción lo que me parece no solo un abuso sino una estafa. Me quedé colgada y me ofrecieron otro vehículo mas pequeño y al no tener mas tiempo tuve que aceptar. Alquile un coche de 5 plazas grande y me dieron uno de 4 plazas, lo que supuso que un compañero viajase incómodo mas de cinco horas. Por no hablar que si te pasas 2 horas te cobran el dia entero, en vez de las horas extra aunque avises con antelación. Un abuso, caro y mal gestionado.
