The Montrose airport is a third world country right now - Avid staff had to come out to find my vehicle for me. Everything under their control went very well. Not coincidentally, they have experienced, long tenure employees there.

We got a hot wire deal to get a SUV/minivan for our annual trip to the Telluride film festival. We had an excellent experience with the service representatives as well as the actual vehicle we rented. We will rent from them again!
I feel that we were completely scammed by this company. We reserved a "standard SUV" which I have done dozens of times before at other locations and when I arrived I was told sorry but this is only a two wheel drive vehicle and I would need to pay $250 more plus tax to have a 4 wheel drive vehicle. Since it had just snowed about 2 feet I felt I needed a 4 wheel drive vehicle so I had to pay the additional money. For a few dollars more I could have reserved a Hertz vehicle and I KNOW that they would not have done this. I am aware that this is probably a franchisee but Budget should NOT allow them to do this. Furthermore the vehicle I was given was filthy dirty and they told me I could have it washed and they would pay me back... ALSO the first vehicle they gave me had a crack in the windshield running the entire width of the windshield AND the outside of the side view mirror was completely missing

We were charged an extra $100 for being half an hour early to pick up the car. The car smelled like cigarette smoke and Febreeze. The maintenance light was on with a dashboard message that said "maintenance required". We told the lady at the counter and requested a different car and her response was, "That's just for the oil change, you'll be fine. That's the only car you can take."

I had reserved a car for pick up at the Montrose airport at 12 noon Saturday 3/19. I came at 1:00 and there were no cars available at all. I was told I had to wait until a car was turned in before I could have one and there were others ahead of me already waiting for cars to be turned in. This affected my vacation time and I did ask for a response of some kind but was told I would not get one.
We were not given the 15 passenger van that we reserved--instead we were given a 7 passenger SUV for our 7 adults, skis, and luggage. We barely fit into the car and were not offered a refund or alternative.
