They didn’t serve any snacks or drinks on a 5 hour flight, instead they charged for a meal if you’re willing to pay for their crappy food. The plane seats are packed in so tightly that retrieving my bag from under the seat in front of me was nearly impossible.

As I mentioned in my other review, the flight was uncomfortable. For a 5.5-hour trip, there was only water and two cookies provided. This is absolutely ridiculous, especially considering how much we pay for these tickets. I was sitting near one of the exit rows, which gave me some leg space, but I couldn't believe how many passengers were having a horrible time with such uncomfortable seats and no food whatsoever. The only refreshment offered was a simple 20-ounce glass of water throughout the flight..

I had an awful experience with both of my flights from Cartagena to Bogotá. Despite paying extra for a more comfortable seat, I found it to be extremely uncomfortable. I couldn't cross my legs, and when my phone fell, I couldn't pick it up throughout the flight because there was no space to bend down and reach it. On top of that, only a glass of water was offered. The situation was similar on my flight from Bogotá to Washington, D.C. Again, the only refreshments provided were water and a bag of cookies for a 5.5-hour trip. This is absolutely ridiculous! As I mentioned earlier, this is one of the best airlines you can fly with in Colombia. However, the economy class seats are incredibly small. Some passengers found them so uncomfortable that they couldn't even fit in the seats, and there wasn't enough space to cross their legs...

I have always loved Avianca and have flown with them for years. I truly believe that traveling to Colombia is one of the best experiences. However, I have noticed that their service has been deteriorating over the years. On a recent 5.5-hour flight, there was no food service—just a glass of water and a cold sandwich with an unknown filling were offered. Considering the price you pay, it feels like it's not worth it. It's sad because the airline represents a striving country.
